How many members of Nahdlatul Ulama are Tik Tok players? Furthermore, what are their political ambitions?
We start off with the data. The following are the results of the August 2023 LSI Denny JA survey. Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) has evolved into a flourishing community over the past 18 years.
In 2005, only 27.5% of respondents said, "Yes, I am part of the NU." In 2014, the percentage rose to 41.7%. This year, 2023, the number of individuals who identify as NU increases to 56.9%. More than half of Indonesia's population professes membership in NU.
Political Aspirations
However, the political aspirations of NU populations are dispersed across a number of parties. Among NU adherents, Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) is evidently not the most popular party.
Only 11.6% of NU members proceeded to PKB.
Even more of them, 13.6%, expressed political preference for Gerindra.
Moreover, 21.9 percent of NU members expressed their political ambitions to PDIP.
11.2% of NU members who attended PKB did not differ substantially from those who attended Golkar.

Demographic
Sociologically, 62.8% of NU members have completed only elementary education and junior high school. This is an informative portrait of the members of the NU. Similar to the majority of the Indonesian population, the majority of these individuals have only completed elementary and junior high school.
Even though NU followers are dispersed across Indonesia, Java is home to 77.9% of them. As much as 48% of their monthly income is less than 2 million rupiah.

Their Views on Important Issues
What are the typical views and beliefs of NU members?
According to 62.6% of these individuals, economic concerns are the primary concern.
89.7% of the population agrees that Pancasila is the national philosophy.
A minimum of fifty percent of NU members concurred that religion and politics cannot be separated.
Importantly, 82.9% of respondents stated they would not support a government based on Islamic Sharia.
Numerous intellectuals, including Gus Dur, were conceived at NU. The concept of Indonesian Islam was conceived at NU. Gus Dur stated the importance of indigenizing Islam. NU is arguably one of the most influential mass organizations in Indonesia in terms of promoting moderate Islam.

Social Media Usage
Regarding social media, NU members are exceptionally competent. 76% of NU members reported possessing mobile phones. 65.6% of NU members have access to the internet. They utilize Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, and Instagram. The proportion of respondents with a Facebook account was highest at 48.5%.
